A new Tourism Ireland initiative, to attract GB visitors to Roscommon and Ireland’s Lakelands Region, will reach over one million newspaper readers around Great Britain next weekend (1st and 2nd August).
Approximately 1.1 million copies of the eight-page promotional tourism supplement will be distributed in national GB newspapers, including The Observer and Sunday Telegraph, highlighting the tremendous value for money available for holidays in Roscommon and Ireland’s Lakeland Region this summer. The supplement promotes 40 great value deals including offers for Kilronan Castle Estate at Ballyfarnon and the Abbey Hotel Roscommon as well as a novel offer to play Boda Borg at Lough Key.
Niall Gibbons, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, said: “This year, it is more competitive than ever before in the Great Britain market and, naturally enough, value and price are absolutely critical for the consumer. Tourism Ireland is placing significant emphasis on value for money offers, to drive home to GB consumers our message about the superb range of offers available in Roscommon and around the island of Ireland.”
