Speaking before the meeting, Hugh Friel, the newly appointed Chairman of Tourism Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be visiting the South-East for our Board Meeting and meeting representatives from the industry here. 2008 will be a challenging year for tourism and it is important that we work together to maximise the opportunities for Ireland in the competitive overseas marketplace.”
