A group of Russian travel writers and tour operators arrived in Dublin this week, on a new air service between Moscow and Dublin. They were invited here by Tourism Ireland, in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland, to celebrate the launch of the new S7 (formerly Siberia Airlines) service which will operate three times a week.
As well as spending time in Dublin, the group also visited Glendalough in Co Wicklow and enjoyed a spot of “retail therapy” at Kildare Village.
Siobhán McManamy, Tourism Ireland, said: “The Russian market has tremendous potential for tourism to the island of Ireland. With the new S7 flights from Moscow to Dublin, combined with our increased promotional efforts, Tourism Ireland is confident that the number of Russians visiting Ireland will grow considerably.”
