Almost 200 members of the tourism industry attended a marketing workshop, organised recently by Tourism Ireland.
The attendees - who included hoteliers, bed and breakfast operators, airlines and ferry operators, car hire companies, visitor attractions, and incoming tour operators - heard a series of presentations by Tourism Ireland staff from Great Britain, North America, Europe and New & Developing Markets.
An extensive range of promotional opportunities for 2009 was presented and discussed with people working in the tourism industry, to help them promote their own products and services in key markets. Advertising, direct marketing, eMarketing and participation in exhibitions and consumer fairs were just some of the opportunities outlined, as well as the use of innovative new media which is becoming increasingly important in today’s digital age, including online advertising and eNewsletters.
