Tourism Ireland competition winners from The Netherlands, Anton and Annemarieke Rippen, picked up the keys to a Land Rover Discovery before setting off to travel the length and breadth of the island of Ireland during their two-week visit here. Anton and Annemarieke were the lucky winners of a recent competition run by Tourism Ireland in The Netherlands, in association with Manor House Hotels and Aer Lingus.
During their stay here, the couple will discover the capital city before making their way to explore Cashel, Killarney, Dingle, Lisdoonvarna, Connemara and Roscommon.
Mark Henry, Tourism Ireland’s Director of Central Marketing, said: “This will be a great way to ‘discover’ the island of Ireland. Car touring is a very popular way of exploring a destination for Dutch visitors. The Netherlands is an important market for tourism and last year we welcomed over 175,000 visitors to the island of Ireland. With increased access to Belfast, Waterford and Galway we look forward to welcoming many more.”
