Canada accounted for 100,000 visitors in 2006. With one in every four Canadians who are likely to travel to Europe in the next five years expressing interest in visiting the island of Ireland, our challenge is to convince them of what we have to offer and that “now” is the time to do it.
We use a variety of marketing communications tools to convey our message, including cooperative advertising with partners; innovative eMarketing using blogs and viral opportunities; extensive publicity campaigns year-round; direct marketing using both online and more traditional methods; intensive promotional activity at travel and lifestyle exhibitions, fairs and events.
