Italy Marketing Activities
Almost 8% of total visitors from Mainland Europe to the island of Ireland are Italian. Our challenge is to continue to convince even greater numbers of Italian people that “now” is the time to visit the island of Ireland, given the vast array of destinations available to them.
We use a variety of marketing communications channels to convey our message, including destination advertising in print (including travel, news and lifestyle magazines) and online, with occasional radio or outdoor campaigns should opportunities arise. We increasingly use eMarketing tools such as travel blogs, online promotions and viral opportunities; extensive PR/publicity campaigns year-round; direct marketing using both online and more traditional methods; and promotional activity at Italy's key travel shows.
