Great Britain has been the ‘bread and butter’ market for the island of Ireland for many years. And, today, almost one in every six of all our overseas visitors comes from GB. Our challenge is to continue to convince ever greater numbers of GB people that “now” is the time to visit the island of Ireland, given the vast array of destinations available to them.
We use a variety of marketing communications tools to get our message through including advertising on television, radio, outdoor and in cinemas, in national and regional newspapers and lifestyle magazines; extensive publicity campaigns nationwide; direct marketing using online and more traditional methods; and intensive promotional activity at travel and lifestyle exhibitions, fairs and events.
