Top tour operators from the US, France, Germany, Australia and Spain visited the Giant’s Causeway on a recent fact-finding trip to the North Coast.
Flown in by Tourism Ireland to participate in the annual Meet the Buyer workshop, which took place in the newly-opened Titanic Belfast, the tour operators then travelled along the Causeway Coastal route to the Giant’s Causeway where they had a ‘sneak peek’ of the new visitor centre due to open at the beginning of the summer. The group also took in the rope bridge at Carrick-a-Rede and Dunluce Castle before heading on to Londonderry where they walked across the Peace Bridge, toured St Columb’s Cathedral and had a tour of Derry’s city walls.
The visit was organised by Tourism Ireland in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
